Hands on Statistics with R
Applied Methods in Cognitive Sciences

This course highlights statistics as a powerful tool for investigating complicated issues in cognitive sciences, and empowers you to employ statistics as a method of inquiry. The course covers descriptive statistics, random variables, inferential statistics and signal detection theory. We will train you with techniques in regression, correlation analysis, feature reduction/extraction methods and mutual information.


In this workshop we provide plenary lectures alongside practical computer coding demonstrations in R programming language. Every afternoon we will accompany you to work on a data analysis project. After completing this workshop, you will have gained a new understanding of statistics with the technical skills to implement appropriate analysis on a wide range of problems.


All participants will be awarded a certificate issued by IPM-SCS. Unfortunately, number of participants is limited. So after a selection process organizing committee will invite only 30 pre-registered people. They should pay registration fee.
