•  Cognitive Neuroscience PhD Program

The primary goal of our PhD program is to develop strong research skills in cognitive and computational neural sciences. SCS is a research faculty that is devoted to the interdisciplinary field of cognitive sciences. In our PhD program students are trained in a broad range of areas concerning computational and cognitive neuroscience including the brain mechanisms of vision and visual object recognition and categorization; speech and language and the mathematical and computational methods needed to support modeling research. A variety of methods are available for research, such as human and alert monkey electrophysiology, Event Related Brain Potential (ERP), psychophysics, neuroimaging (fMRI), neurolinguistic and computational labs.
Graduate training concludes with successful completion of a PhD Qualifying Exam and a Dissertation Thesis with at least two journal publications in ISI sited scientific journals
Financial aid is available to students in the program. Most students have support in the form of institute fellowship and Research Assistantships.
